Black Pepper Sauce Recipe

Ingredients


  • 2 tablespoons Dakshin Organics black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1/2 cup beef or chicken broth

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)


Instructions


  1. Medium heat a skillet, toast the black pepper until fragrant for about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and crush them with a spice grinder.

  2. In a saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat , add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant for about 1 minute.

  3. Add the crushed black peppercorns, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and broth to the saucepan. Stir to combine.

  4. Let it cook for about 5-7 minutes in the simmer, allowing the flavors to meld.

  5. If you prefer a thicker sauce, stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for a couple of minutes until the sauce thickens.

  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.


Serving Suggestions


  • Serve over grilled meats or stir-fried vegetables.

  • Use as a dipping sauce for spring rolls or dumplings.

  • Drizzle over rice or noodles for added flavor.


Storage


Store the sauce in an airtight container and can be refrigerated for up to one week. Reheat before serving.
